Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Executive Tax Compliance to join the AirAsia X Berhad team. Supporting the Tax Manager and Finance Manager in managing tax compliance for both direct and indirect taxes for AirAsia X Berhad, covering Malaysian and international entities, ensuring adherence to local and international tax regulations.
- Assisting in the preparation and filing of tax estimation for the companies.
- Supporting the Tax Manager in monitoring the remittance of payment to the relevant tax authorities is made on a timely manner, including income tax instalments, service tax payments and withholding tax payments.
- Supporting the Tax Manager in monitoring and follow-up actions with the relevant tax authority to expedite any tax refund applications.
- Supporting the Tax Manager in monitoring and follow-up actions with tax authorities, government agencies, tax consultants, and other external parties on all tax matters for the Group’s entities.
- Assist in compilation information for review by the Tax Manager required for tax audits for all entities, responding to inquiries from tax authorities and coordinating with tax advisers.
- Assist in ad-hoc tax projects.
- Assist finance and business units on tax related queries.
- Assist in compilation of information for review by the Tax Manager required for the preparation of Transfer Pricing (TP") documentation.
- Stay updated on tax developments and share relevant updates with stakeholders.
- Assist and support Finance manager in others Finance matter
What You Will Need:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) or equivalent.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in tax compliance.
- Proven experience working in a large accounting firm or within a commercial in-house tax department.
- A proactive attitude, agility, and strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with senior management, internal departments, and external stakeholders.
