Job Description

Develop and deliver proactive engagement plans with key government stakeholders including identifying engagement opportunities for the company's leaders.

Represent AirTrunk in working level government meetings with officials, ministerial contacts, industry stakeholders and not for profit organisations.

Monitor government policy developments affecting AirTrunk’s business.

Identify current and future policy and regulatory risks for AirTrunk’s operations.

Working with the Director Public Policy, help shape the public policy agenda including identifying and building the case/solutions for advocacy priorities, and localising for Malaysia.

Advocate to government and policy makers AirTrunk’s position which is well informed by research and analysis of policy issues relevant to the business.

Attend relevant industry events and meetings and represent the business with external industry bodies including participating in relevant working groups and committees.

Represent AirTrunk in industry associations and third party alliances to advance AirTrunk’s policy positions and reputation within Malaysia.

Manage local Government Relations consultants and other vendors to support AirTrunk’s policy advocacy.

Job Requirements

Min. 10+ years experience in a policy, political or government role. This might include in the private sector or in a parliamentary or ministerial office, or Government department.

Strong understanding of internal workings of government, including political or parliamentary processes.

Exceptional dual language (English and Malay) written and verbal communication skills.

Exceptional project management skills and experience in working in cross-functional teams.

A high degree of autonomy, drive and resilience.

Experience working in a fast-paced environment and capacity to prioritise conflicting tasks.
