Velta is looking for a Content Creator & Social Media Executive to take ownership of our video content across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, Xiaohongshu (XHS) and YouTube.

You'll be creating short-form educational, sales-driven and brand-building content, as well as approximately 10 longer-form YouTube videos per month.

This role is ideal for someone who understands that good content isn't simply about getting views.

The goal is to educate our audience, build trust in our products and ultimately help drive sales.

What you'll be doing

• Develop creative content ideas for Velta's social media channels
• Create short-form video content for TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and XHS
• Produce longer-form YouTube content
• Write scripts, hooks and content outlines
• Research topics and turn product information into engaging content
• Plan and execute video shoots
• Handle filming using smartphones and available equipment
• Edit videos from start to finish
• Add captions, subtitles, music, transitions and other relevant elements
• Write social media captions and prepare content for publishing
• Coordinate talent/models/customers for content shoots when required
• Manage the content production process from idea to published video
• Monitor content performance and identify what is and isn't working
• Analyse views, watch time, engagement and other relevant metrics
• Continuously improve content based on performance
• Keep up with social media trends, formats and platform changes
• Work closely with the Managing Director and team to develop better content
• Contribute to the development of Velta's overall content strategy

Your earning potential

Salary: RM3,000 – RM7,000 depending on experience and portfolio

Commission: Available

The exact package will be discussed based on your experience, capabilities and portfolio.

Job Requirements

What we're looking for

We're looking for someone who can create, not just coordinate.

You should be able to look at a product and think:

"How can I explain this in a way that makes someone want to watch?"

And then actually make the video.

Our ideal candidate has:

• Around 2+ years of relevant content creation experience
• A strong portfolio of actual videos/content you've created
• Experience creating short-form social media content
• Experience with TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and/or XHS
• Experience producing longer-form video content
• Good understanding of what makes people stop scrolling
• Strong storytelling and communication skills
• Good video editing skills
• Ability to work independently from idea → script → shoot → edit → publish
• Understanding of content performance and analytics
• Ability to take feedback and continuously improve
• Good communication skills in Mandarin and English
• Ability to communicate in Bahasa Malaysia
• Own transport

Fresh graduates are welcome to apply if you have an exceptional portfolio that demonstrates your ability.

We're much more interested in what you can create than the number of years you've been working.

You don't need to be on camera

You are not expected to be the face of our content.

However, you should be comfortable directing talent, customers or other team members when filming.

If additional filming equipment is required, we will provide it.

You can use whichever video editing software you work best with, and we'll provide the necessary software where required.

What does success look like?

The goal isn't simply:

"Get 100,000 views."

We want content that can:

Educate → Build Trust → Generate Interest → Convert Customers

You will be expected to understand which content performs well, why it performs well and how we can improve it.

If you can consistently create content that both performs and contributes to sales, you'll have a major impact on the business.
