We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our Transaction Banking department under Group SME, Commercial & Transaction Banking division as Assistant Vice President, Product Strategy (Business Deposit).

 

The Role

 

A successful candidate in this position will be accountable to manage the business deposit product offered by Transaction Banking that will contribute to the department’s business and financial objectives.

 

Job Description

 

Business Deposit Product Management

 

  • Develop business strategies and define development initiatives to position our products.
  • Coordinate implementation of development initiatives, rollout and implementation planning of cash products, based on sound business case and implementation strategies.
  • Work with various touch-points in the Bank to enhance existing products or to develop new products, based on customer needs, competitor benchmarking, and market research.
  • Address day-to-day business process matters such as technical support, operational issues, client service support, legal documentation and any other related tasks assigned.
  • Support in the compliance gap analysis study and clearance.
  • Handle Regulatory Bodies (e.g. BNM) survey and enquiries.
  • Support and prepare for the bank’s audit activities
  • Ensure all products adhere with the regulatory requirements (e.g. FEA, BNM)
  • Support continuous system enhancements/customization based on customer requirements
  • Work with support front liners and operation to produce new/change of process and obtain relevant process change authority approval.
  • Provide UAT plan and prepare UAT scenario/scope for projects/CR/enhancement.
  • Perform UAT execution, testing on BAU monthly release/fixes
  • Provide 3rd level support/queries/consult/troubleshooting/provide resolution on respective cash products
  • Prepare training materials and necessary documentations/manuals and conduct training for internal sales, customer service and business administration teams.
  • Perform regular risk assessment to identify potential risks and report findings to management.
  • Create and update internal procedures, such as the escalation protocol, product specific policies and user guides.
  • Create and maintain ad hoc management reports, i.e. monthly statistic reports.
  • Update standard fee schedule for each product, lead discussion with product sales, and strategy to client roll out.
  • Revision of CASAFD rates in compliance with BNM, OPR change, environment triggers or customer needs.
  • Creation of BRS (Business Rewards Service) and CMT (Cash Management Template) interest rate plans based on Sales team’s request and relevant approval.
  • Manage portfolio of BRS and CMT interest rate plans with ongoing engagement with Sales team.
  • Develop and enhance products based on customer and business needs or market changes
  • Annual renewal of Conventional Business Deposits paper.
  • Conduct customer or product research in collaboration with Market insight, GSMPM.

 

Performance Reporting

 

  • Provide PIDM the necessary deposit information for validation and prompt reimbursement of insured deposits.
  • Prepare reports according to business or compliance/regulatory needs.
  • Build and present executive product updates, including performance metrics, delivery status and roadmap status.
  • Submit nominations for the various award categories

  • Ability to clearly articulate business requirements and other information, regularly keep appropriate parties informed about any key developments, plans and issues.
  • Ability to understand to calculate cost, benefits and risks in the decision making process.
  • Ability to plan and execute process enhancement and reporting within timeline set
  • Good problem solving and analytical skills

Education / Knowledge

  • Understands financial impact such as ROI, compliance requirements, conduct risk assessment and identify any potential risks, and provide reports to management and auditors.
  • Good computer knowledge.
  • Good financial projection and data analysis skill.

 

Experience

  • Degree holder in related fields
  • 3 – 5 years of specialized experience in Financial Services, including 3 years + in cash management sales or product management.
  • Solid understanding of Cash Management business and the benefits of core products and services such as payable, receivable, liquidity management, on-line portal, e-delivery channels.
