Job Description

 Responsibilities:-

  • Drive sales and business development for abrasives, tapes & adhesives and occupational health & safety products range specifically to the marine shipyard industry but also include other end user industries such as the oil & gas industry;
  • Identify, prospect and develop new business opportunities in shipyards, marine engineering firms and related sectors as well as other industries to establish & cultivate strong business relationship with customers;
  • Serve as a technical expert on the application and benefits of abrasives, tapes & adhesives and safety products, offering solutions tailored to their specific needs and requirements;
  • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations and training for customers or potential customers to help customers discover and understand products / services and benefits;
  • Monitor market trends, competitor products and regulatory changes to adjust sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
  • Manage customer relationships throughout the sales process, ensuring customer satisfaction and post-sales support;
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and KPIs on a regular basis.
  • Attend industry events, trade shows and customer meetings to expand the customer base and keep up-to-date with industry trends;
  • Prepare & submit quotes, proposals, tenders or any technical documentation including monthly business review reports & other management reports that are required.

Job Requirements

 Requirements:

  • Preferably with a Diploma or Degree in Mechanical / Marine Engineering or related technical field;
  • 3 years experience in sales / business development preferably in marine shipyard industry;
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, interpersonal and sales skills;
  • Highly motivated and results-oriented with a proven track record of achieving sales targets;
  • A proactive and customer-focused approach with excellent problem-solving skills;
  • Aggressive, highly independent, able to work under minimal supervision & self-organized.
