Job Purpose
The Sales Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth by leading a high-performing sales team, developing strategic market plans, and maintaining senior-level relationships with key accounts. This role ensures operational excellence through effective performance management, budget control, and adherence to clinical and industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Recruit, train, and manage sales representatives; set clear goals and empower the team to achieve targets effectively.
Performance Management: Monitor sales data, provide consistent feedback, and coach team members to improve results.
Key Account Management: Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with high-value customers and stakeholders.
Strategic Market Analysis: Conduct market research, identify industry trends, and analyze competitor activities to adjust strategies.
Sales Forecasting: Project accurate sales volumes to support organizational business planning and inventory needs.
Budget & Resource Management: Control department expenses and optimize resources within the allocated budget.
Product & Clinical Expertise: Ensure the team has a deep understanding of product benefits and maintains knowledge of SOPs for surgical procedures.
Compliance: Ensure all sales activities adhere to company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Education: Minimum Diploma or Degree in Medical, Service, Business, or a related field.
Experience: At least 5 years of proven working experience in Sales & Marketing.
Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the medical/surgical field, including product lifecycle management and cross-functional collaboration.
Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with logistics, stock management, and surgical procedure SOPs.
Skills & Competencies
Language Skills: Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Ability to speak Mandarin or other local dialects is a significant advantage.
Technical Skills: Advanced computer literacy, specifically in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for data analysis and presentations.
Communication: High standard of written and verbal communication; ability to liaise effectively with internal and external professionals.
Analytical Ability: Strong skills in market analysis and strategic planning.
