Job Description

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The MSB Logistics Lead is a crucial role within the supply chain, ensuring the efficient and cost-effective movement, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • This position leads the entire logistics process, from planning and procurement to delivery and customer satisfaction for Malaysia, Singapore and Brunei (MSB).
  • Lead and manage all import and export arrangements, custom clearance, duty and tax payment, final mile delivery, order return or cancellation, reverse logistics, vendor claim and lost prevention for the markets.
  • Manage customs clearance processes to facilitate a smooth and compliance import and export operations, including resolving any customs-related issues that arise during the transportation process.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of customs regulations, and ensure all documentation and procedures meet legal and local authority requirements.
  • Responsible for selection and management of transportation partners, negotiating contracts, and monitoring performance.
  • Optimize first mile logistics to ensure the efficient movement of goods from suppliers to warehouses.
  • Responsible for final mile delivery operations to ensure timely and accurate delivery to customers and ABOs (Amway Business Owners).
  • Lead and manage eCommerce Delivery Experience Projects, including system enhancement and system integration with service provider to ensure competitiveness with market e-Commerce benchmark.
  • Analyse business processes to pinpoint areas for improvement, focusing on waste reduction and streamlining workflows.
  • Analyse market trends, customer needs, and competitor strategies to develop and implement an optimal distribution network design.
  • Lead Distribution Network Analysis in Market (i.e.g DC location, Hub, Delivery Channel, etc) to leverage infrastructure, technology and 3PL to optimize distribution cost, service, and speed.
  • Develop strategy for Distribution Network in Market, leverage infrastructure, technology, 3PL to optimize distribution cost, speed and value.
  • Evaluate and select the most appropriate distribution channels based on product type, target market, and cost considerations.
  • Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the distribution network, such as on-time delivery rates, inventory turnover, and transportation cost.
  • Lead the team to handle change management by ensuring timely communication and announcement to all stakeholders including ABO, APC, cross function departments, and service providers in the markets.
  • Effective coordination with R&D, QA, Amway Shops, Sales, Marketing, Planning, Procurement, External suppliers, HR and Finance on Stock Supply and deliverable for MSB Market.
  • Works with Analytic team to develop dashboard and reports for operation and logistics performance management for MSB Market.
