We are currently looking for a Rigging Artist to join our quest. &nbsp; <h3>Job Summary:</h3> The Rigging Artist is responsible for designing and maintaining a smooth and efficient rig for CG assets. He or she must have a strong understanding of CG pipelines and production methods and a strong management style with excellent organizational and artistic skills &nbsp; <h3>Key Responsibilities:</h3> <ul> <li>Work with the Rigging Lead/Supervisor to establish a rig that fully supports an animation style</li> <li>Work closely with Animators to develop rigs that will allow animators the full range of motion and acting that is called for by the story, as well as, a logical and easy to use control structure</li> <li>Work to create top quality body and facial rigs that meet the desired quality and style</li> <li>Create and adjust rigging standards</li> <li>Provide creative ideas and solutions on both visual and technical level</li> <li>Be able to flag and solve potential problems to stay on schedule</li> <li>Organize work and prepare presentation elements for approval</li> <li>Execute the corrections requested by the Supervisor and the Director by showing an analytic mind</li> <li>Communicate and seek information if necessary</li> <li>Constantly be learning and experimenting with new techniques&nbsp;</li> <li>Be a key contributor to create an engaging animated film of top quality, while managing and reducing the complexities of production</li> </ul> &nbsp; <h3>Required Skills:</h3> <ul> <li>3+ years of industry (CG and/or VFX) or equivalent rigging experience</li> <li>Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Computer Animation, or other relevant areas of study and/or equivalent job experience</li> <li>Comprehensive knowledge of all aspects of CG, pipeline and associated software/plugins</li> <li>Experience in a variety of Maya rigging techniques, and the ability to optimize the performance of rigs</li> <li>Good communication skills and excellent team player</li> <li>A creative problem-solver</li> <li>Basic modeling skills and ability to understand polygonal mesh flow</li> <li>Strong knowledge of character kinematics, deformation and biomechanics</li> <li>Experience rigging a variety of characters and props, including facial animation systems</li> <li>Experience with Python and MEL is a plus</li> <li>Knowledge of dynamics is a plus</li> </ul> &nbsp; Remark: <ul> <li>This position will require the successful applicant to relocate and work on-site at our studio in Malaysia.</li> <li>Priority will be given to local (Malaysia) applicants</li> </ul>
