About the Role

We’re looking for a talented, motivated IoT Embedded System Engineer Intern to join our team and help build the next generation of smart, connected systems. If you are an ambitious undergraduate student looking for real-world experience in building advanced, security-centric IoT products, this internship will give you an end-to-end view of the product development cycle.

Our work involves solving complex, real-world problems. As an intern, you will get the opportunity to work alongside experienced engineers on remote access control, data monitoring, and low-latency IoT systems.

Key Responsibilities

During this internship, you will collaborate with our engineering team to:

  • Assist in Development: Write and debug embedded C/C++ firmware for prototyping, hardware verification, and sensor integration.
  • Hardware Prototyping: Assist with schematic entry, component selection, and basic PCB layout tasks.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Conduct hands-on troubleshooting, hardware verification, and testing of digital/RF prototypes.
  • Cloud & Dashboard Integration: Help bridge the gap between hardware and software by assisting in integrating embedded devices with cloud platforms and monitoring dashboards.
  • Documentation: Create firmware documentation, component Bill-of-Materials (BOM), and maintain clear logs of test results.
  • Compliance Awareness: Learn about and assist the team in preparing designs to meet electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and safety standards.

Job Requirements

 

  • Education: Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Electrical & Electronics Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Hardware Design Fundamentals: Basic familiarity or academic experience with KiCAD (or similar ECAD software) for schematic capture and PCB layout.
  • Embedded Development: Familiarity with PlatformIO, Arduino IDE, ESP-IDF or similar embedded development environments, with a solid foundational understanding of C/C++ programming.
  • Lab Competency: Comfortable working in an engineering lab environment and eager to develop hands-on skills with standard equipment like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and signal generators.
  • Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to look at technical issues logically and collaborate on finding practical solutions.
  • Detail-Oriented Team Player: High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and a commitment to maintaining excellent documentation and clear technical communication.
  • Adaptability & Drive: Ability to manage your own tasks effectively within a team setting, open to receiving constructive feedback, and motivated to learn new technologies quickly.
