Job Overview:

We’re seeking experienced Business Development Manager to focus on the Strategic Growth of the organisation and ensure that daily operations are align with organizational goals. They must possess strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills to oversee the diverse aspects of an engineering company's operations successfully.

Job Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning

• To assess, define, and developed core capabilities of the company to meet future growth.
• Propose and implement process changes to ensure high rate of productivity among team members.
• Develop business plans and manage related media activities to showcase our services and capabilities.
• Work to enhance overall organizational performance and productivity.

Operations Planning:

• Oversee day-to-day business development activities to ensure the company achieves its business goals.
• Oversee collaboration with business partners, associates and customers.
• Development of in-house core competencies and talent retention.

Financial Management:

• Manage and approve company expenditure through the Finance Department.
• Develop and manage business development budgets.
• Monitor and control expenses to ensure financial targets are met.

Government Liaison & External Relations

• Serve as the company’s primary liaison with government agencies and regulatory bodies.
• Prepare official correspondences and attend meetings with government bodies to represent the company’s interest.
• Stay updated with national initiatives, grants, and programs beneficial to the company and recommend participation where relevant.

Funding & Incentives

• Identify, evaluate, and source potential government grants, tax incentives, and investment schemes to support company growth.
• Lead the preparation and submission of proposals and supporting documents for funding applications

Team Leadership:

• Lead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project and operational goals.
• Provide guidance and support to team members.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

• A relevant degree or MBA or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience as operations/business management.
• Ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
• Strong strategic planning skills to contribute to the company's overall objectives.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with team members, other departments, and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with project management principles to coordinate with project teams effectively.
• Understanding of industry regulations, safety standards, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to build positive relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and make informed decisions in dynamic environments.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.
