Job Description

We're seeking a fearless Technical Product Lead to scale our engineering organization from 2 to 5 engineers while maintaining financial sector stability standards. As we grow from 3 to 25+ enterprise customers, you'll be the technical guardian ensuring our platform scales without compromising reliability.

This isn't a typical tech lead role. You'll coordinate a small engineering team, maintain 99.5%+ platform uptime, proactively identify technical risks, and have the courage to challenge leadership decisions when platform reliability is at stake. You'll work closely with our CEO while progressively taking ownership of day-to-day engineering decisions.

Key responsibilities include:

• Lead 2-5 engineers through sprint planning and execution
• Maintain 99.5%+ uptime during rapid customer growth
• Identify 2+ technical debt issues monthly before they impact customers
• Challenge CEO decisions 2x monthly with data-backed reasoning
• Stop sprints when quality is compromised (minimum 1x per quarter)
• Provide weekly risk updates highlighting issues leadership may not see
• Eliminate manual customer support interventions
• Reduce customer onboarding from weeks to days

Job Requirements

Required Experience:

• 5-7 years in software engineering and technical leadership
• 2+ years coordinating or leading small engineering teams (2-5 people)
• Proven track record maintaining 99%+ uptime during growth phases
• Experience with sprint management and agile methodologies
• Strong technical debt management skills
• Experience implementing monitoring, alerting, and quality systems
• Demonstrated ability to challenge leadership respectfully with data

Preferred:

• Financial technology, banking, or regulated industry experience
• Understanding of financial sector compliance requirements
• Experience scaling platforms to 25+ enterprise customers
• Platform engineering, SRE, or infrastructure background
• Startup or high-growth company experience
