Job Description
We're looking for a Junior Executive – Quality Assurance Engineer to join our engineering team. You'll be responsible for testing our LOS/LMS products to ensure they're reliable, secure, and ready for clients operating in regulated financial environments. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their QA career to grow into automation testing and gain exposure to real-world fintech systems.
Job Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design, write, and execute manual test cases based on requirements and user stories
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and UAT support testing across web applications
- Identify, document, and track bugs/defects using issue-tracking tools (e.g., Jira)
- Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and product owners to clarify requirements and validate fixes
- Support the development and maintenance of automated test scripts (training/mentorship will be provided)
- Participate in test planning, sprint ceremonies, and release readiness reviews
- Maintain clear, organized test documentation (test plans, test cases, test reports)
- Help ensure product quality aligns with banking/fintech compliance and security expectations
Requirements
Must-have:
- Diploma/Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field
- 0–2 years of relevant experience (fresh graduates with strong fundamentals are welcome)
- Basic understanding of software testing concepts (test case design, bug lifecycle, SDLC/STLC)
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills in English (Bahasa Malaysia is a plus)
- Willingness to learn automation testing tools and frameworks
Good to have (added advantage):
- Exposure to AI-assisted/automation testing tools (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, AI-driven test generation tools)
- Basic scripting/programming knowledge (Python, JavaScript, or similar)
- Experience or interest in API testing (Postman or similar)
- Prior internship/work experience in banking, fintech, or financial services
- Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodology
