Job Description

We are seeking a headstrong, results-driven leader to take full ownership of our supply chain and

procurement functions. This role demands decisiveness, accountability, and the ability to lead from

the front—not just manage processes, but drive outcomes. The successful candidate will be

expected to make firm decisions under pressure, challenge inefficiencies, and establish control

across the entire supply chain spectrum.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Control

- Own and drive the end-to-end supply chain strategy aligned with business objectives

- Establish strong governance, policies, and controls across procurement and logistics

- Lead with authority—set direction, enforce discipline, and ensure execution without compromise

- Build a performance-driven culture with clear accountability

Procurement Management

- Lead sourcing, vendor selection, and contract negotiations with a commercially aggressive

mindset

- Drive cost optimization without compromising quality or delivery commitments

- Develop and maintain a robust, reliable supplier network (local & international)

- Enforce supplier performance management (KPIs, audits, corrective actions)

Supply Chain Operations

- Oversee planning, inventory control, warehousing, and logistics execution

- Ensure material availability aligns with production and project timelines

- Identify bottlenecks and implement corrective actions swiftly

- Drive system and process improvements for efficiency and visibility

Risk Management & Decision Making

- Take ownership of critical supply risks and disruptions—act decisively and resolve fast

- Develop contingency plans for supply continuity (dual sourcing, buffer strategies, etc.)

- Make timely, firm decisions in high-pressure situations with incomplete data when required

Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Leadership

- Work closely with engineering, production, QA/QC, and project teams to align supply priorities

- Act as the single point of accountability for all supply-related matters

- Influence senior management with data-backed insights and clear recommendations

Systems, Reporting & Continuous Improvement

- Drive data accuracy, reporting transparency, and KPI tracking

- Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, cost reduction, lead time reduction)

Job Requirements

- Minimum 5 years of experience in supply chain/procurement, with proven leadership exposure

- Strong track record in vendor negotiation, cost control, and supply continuity

- Demonstrated ability to make tough decisions and stand by them

- Experience in manufacturing / engineering / project-based environments is highly preferred

- Solid understanding of Malaysian supply market, logistics, and regulatory environment

- High level of ownership, resilience, and execution focus
