THE OPPORTUNITY

Our partner, is a leading insurance intermediary group based in Australia and as a publicly listed company, the company operates a diverse network of partner businesses across Australia and New Zealand, specialising in insurance broking, underwriting agencies, and risk services. The team is currently hiring an Accounts Assistant to be based at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and you will be a key participant within a small focused Accounting Team, participating in a full range of accounting and financial management functions for a diverse portfolio of entities in the insurance and risk sector.

ASW Global operates on a Hybrid model. During the probation period, you will be required to work full-time onsite. After this period, the role will transition to a hybrid model, with 2 days in the office and 3 days working from home, with a regular shift schedule of 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Kuala Lumpur time.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage accounts payable processes using CONCUR and ensure timely, accurate transactions.
• Perform bank and balance sheet reconciliation while maintaining the integrity of client financial records.
• Support the preparation of BAS, FBT, and other statutory reporting requirements.
• Assist in budgeting activities and provide audit support, including extracting data from ERP systems, banks, and CONCUR.
• Liaise with auditors and broker clients to facilitate smooth financial operations and reporting

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance or any equivalent. 
• Minimum 3- 5 years of working experience in accounting field and supporting the Australian client/market would be added advantage.
• Qualified Accountant with either CPA, CA, ACCA or any relevant professional certificate would be highly considered.
• High-level understanding of technical accounting including but not limited to AP, AR, month closing, bank reconciliation and journal entry.
• High Excel skills level (intermediate to advance)
• Comprehensive verbal and written English skills.
