The Opportunity

Our partner, an Australian insurance brokerage with over 40 years of experience, offers tailored insurance solutions to businesses and individuals nationwide. With offices strategically located along the eastern seaboard, including Brisbane, Sydney, and the Gold Coast, their team of specialists is dedicated to understanding each client's unique needs, ensuring comprehensive protection without a one-size-fits-all approach. 

In line with the expansion in the team, we are currently looking for a Broker Administration Officer to be based at Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

This role will help you to become involved in influencing events actively and proactively to achieve goals by working effectively without supervision or close instruction; acting to achieve goals beyond minimum requirements; thinking constructively and presenting suggestions about improvements to the job and the workplace.

Key Responsibilities

  • Process manual invoices and schedules, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Arrange Certificates of Currency for all insurance classes and prepare renewal reviews for brokers.
  • Obtain claims histories from insurers and manage client debtors efficiently.
  • Follow up on outstanding client documentation and upload required documents to internal and external systems.
  • Collaborate effectively with onshore teams, respond to inquiries, and take initiative in process improvement efforts.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of strong administration experience preferably in the financial or insurance sector.
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to execute processes efficiently and accurately.
  • Experience working with offshore/outsourcing firm will be advantageous.
