THE OPPORTUNITY

Our partner is an Australian insurance company founded in 2007. It has grown from a mortgage broking business to one of Australia’s leading independent financial services companies. They focus on providing lifetime financial solutions by understanding clients’ needs and helping them achieve long-term financial success.

As a Broker Assistant, your main role is to work closely with the broker and clients to implement finalized strategies and manage the application process. You will handle administrative tasks, ensure compliance with lender and client requirements, and help improve client satisfaction and broker-client relationships.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support brokers in dedicating more time to client interactions by handling administrative tasks associated with executing a loan strategy.
  • Make lender/product recommendations to the broker based on scenario's provided
  • Assess client’s income and lenders' serviceability, preparing lenders servicing calculators to facilitate decision-making.
  • Once strategy is confirmed by the broker, the application is to be built by meticulously collecting, analyzing, and verifying all necessary compliance and lender supporting documents.
  • Facilitate efficient data collection for client Fact Finds and Living Expenses, ensuring accuracy through meticulous document verification.
  • Coordinate valuations and pricing as needed or request the loan support team to complete these tasks
  • Utilize Broker Engine to prepare applications, including product selection, funding positions, security details, and finalise the compliance requirements thus creating the Credit Proposal/Preliminary Credit Assessment.
  • Manage lender application forms (AOL) and identity requirements, ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Once the application is complete, create a handover to the Submissions officer who will coordinate the clients execution of these documents and any other supplementary supporting documents as needed.

By efficiently executing these responsibilities, you contribute to the overall effectiveness of the brokerage operation and enhance the client experience through timely and accurate service delivery.

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATION

  • Australian Mortgage Industry required (not other countries)
  • Minimum 1-2 years as either Loan processor or similar role (broker assistant, para broker etc).
  • Computer skills including Word and Excel.
  • The ability to be flexible in a rapidly growing organization.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Demonstrated commitment to providing outstanding customer service with a professional and courteous approach.
