The Opportunity

Our client is a leading medical device supplier with over 200 trusted brands and 1000 highly skilled staff across Australia, New Zealand and Asia. They currently are looking for a new team member who will assist the corporate finance team with maintaining the financial operations and reporting process of the companies of this group.

This role entails independent work alongside the Financial Accounting Leader in Australia, directly working for the parent company and supporting operations for their subsidiaries

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of financial reports for the Executive, Board, Shareholders banks and Other related parties;
  • Assist with the preparation of financial statements to trial balance stage including completion of month-end accounting reconciliations;
  • Assist with the preparation of annual financial statements and all group statutory reporting including tax;
  • Assist with the completion of the annual external audit;
  • Assist the business unit managers, both operations and Sales & Marketing on Finance and Accounting related matters;
  • Integration of accounting and reporting aspects of acquisitions and uploading monthly financial to SAP;
  • Improve the process of accounting for long-term projects, including inbound freight costing system improvement and purchase price variance monthly process;
  • Provide coaching to Financial Accountants and the accounts payable team;
  • Ad hoc project work as required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • CPA/CA qualification;
  • More than 8 years of relevant work experience in multinational companies and shared services models;
  • Advanced experience in month-end processing, financial reporting, and general accounting;
  • Experience managing financial operations in a high-revenue company.
  • Familiar with IFRS16
  • Advanced Excel skills;
  • Previous SAP experience (desirable).
