Love trail runs, hikes, and helping people gear up for their next adventure? Join our crew by working with us at Ascent Max Sdn Bhd, a retail team focused on quality trail running shoes, hiking gear and outdoor apparel while connecting customers to local outdoor events and communities.

You will lead the store to grow sales, plan product launches and host community activities that bring more people to the outdoors. You will also keep operations running smoothly through inventory planning, staff coaching and excellent customer experiences.

Your Growth & Impact

• Elevate your leadership by recruiting, training and managing a compact retail team, with hands-on coaching and regular performance reviews.
• Develop deep product expertise across trail running shoes, backpacks and technical apparel, making you the in-store specialist customers trust.
• Build your event and marketing experience by running in-store promotions and outdoor community activities that drive loyalty and repeat visits.
• Position yourself for broader retail responsibility by owning sales targets, stock planning and store presentation.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience

• Minimum 1 year of retail management experience, preferably in sports, footwear, fashion, or outdoor retail.
• Proven ability to lead and develop a retail team, including recruitment and performance management.
• Comfortable working weekends, public holidays, and during promotional events.

Hard Skills & Knowledge

• Experience with POS systems and inventory management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Strong sales capability with practical problem-solving to handle customer and operational issues.
• Knowledge of premium outdoor brands such as Kailas, Suunto, Garmin, Black Diamond, or similar is an advantage.
• Experience organizing outdoor events or working with running and hiking communities is a plus.
• Social media and live-selling experience is an advantage.

Soft Skills & Qualities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Leadership mindset with a hands-on approach to coaching and team development.
• Passion for trail running, hiking, camping or outdoor adventure is preferred.
