Our client is a (MNC) in the electrical and electronics industry with global operations. The Malaysia manufacturing plant is located in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.

Working Days: Monday – Friday

Your Role

As a Chargeman BO, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe, stable, and efficient operation of the facility’s electrical and utility systems. You will play a key role in maintaining uninterrupted power supply, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and supporting overall plant operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all low-voltage electrical installations and equipment in compliance with Suruhanjaya Tenaga (ST) requirements.
• Attend to and provide updates on matters related to authorities and power utility bodies such as ST and Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB).
• Ensure all electrical systems comply with safety regulations, local standards, and company policies.
• Implement and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for electrical systems including switchboards, transformers, and distribution boards.
• Perform corrective and preventive maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and ensure operational reliability.
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests from Facility Engineer and other departments.
• Ensure uninterrupted power supply to critical systems and address electrical faults efficiently.
• Coordinate with vendors and contractors for repair, upgrading, or replacement of electrical equipment.
• Monitor and maintain Fire Alarm and Life Safety Systems, ensuring proper operation and emergency readiness.
• Troubleshoot facility-related systems including chiller, HVAC, air compressor, genset, fire fighting, sewage, refrigeration, and water systems.
• Communicate effectively with internal departments and provide technical support when required.
• Provide guidance and on-the-job training to junior technicians on safe work practices and troubleshooting methods.
• Ensure completion of daily maintenance checklist before end of working day.
• Take charge and make operational decisions when the Engineer is unavailable.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and working areas in good condition at all times.

Job Requirements

Requirements

• Must possess a valid Professional Certificate BO Chargeman (B0).
• Minimum 5-8 years of experience in facilities maintenance or related field.
• Strong technical knowledge in electrical systems and facility utilities.
• Hands-on experience in troubleshooting industrial equipment and systems.
• Strong problem-solving skills with ability to mentor junior staff.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to work in Senawang, Negeri Sembilan.
