In depth understanding of supporting technologies: DHCP/DNS, High Availability configurations.

  • Knowledge in Dell VXRail, SRM, ZERTO
  • Working experience in troubleshooting and migration activities for ESXI 5.* & 6.*7.*

•     Knowledge of local and remote computer system diagnostic tools.

•     Hands on delivery in a client facing environment.

•     Understanding of enterprise datacenter technologies including Networking, Security, TCP/IP, SAN and NAS,   physical datacenter practices.

  • Some understanding of SAN & NAS technologies
  • Some understanding of EMC Cloud Array
  • Knowledge in SAN Switch Zoning
  • Knowledge in VMware NSX
  • Knowledge in vRO

•             Knowledge of methodologies for developing, building and configuring a system.

•             Awareness on ticketing tools implemented on basis of ITIL process (incidents, changes, problem etc.)

•             NFS administration

•             Virtualization - VMWARE ESX

•             Experience on handling remotely task related to hardware changes on server of HP/Dell/IBM

•             Knowledge in PowerShell

Process & Documentation:

•             Prepare and maintain systems documentation in accordance with AO, ITIL and ISO9000 policies and procedures.

•             Manage and control the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) to ensure it meets customer and ITIL standards and operational requirements

•             Preparing documents knowledge database, work instructions etc..

•             Working knowledge on ticketing tool

•             Assisting & training team members on new technology & provide knowledge transfer to the team.

•             Experience in generating reports & doing call analysis. 

                Knowledge in preparing RCAs

Qualifications and Experience

 

Essential:

  • Certified with VMware Administration to manage Vcenter and ESXi
  • Certified with VMware Troubleshooting
  • Experience of client/server and enterprise environments
  • Ability to understand technical documentation
  • Knowledge and use of service desk ticketing software
  • ITIL Certified (foundation ) or should have a strong working knowledge of ITIL Incident and Change Management disciplines
  • Ability to work under pressure and remain decisive.
