Job Description

 Customer Coordination:

  • Act as the primary point of contact between clients, carriers, and internal teams.
  • Deliver prompt updates to customers regarding the status of shipments, required documentation, and any arising issues.
  • Manage inquiries, complaints, and feedback professionally to guarantee client satisfaction.

Export & Import Operations:

  • Collaborate with international agents, shipping companies, airlines, and other parties to organize bookings and manage cargo transport.
  • Ensure adherence to Malaysian customs laws, Incoterms, and global shipping protocols.
  • Compile and validate all essential shipping documents, including bills of lading, air waybills, invoices, packing lists, and permits (e.g., Form D, COO, etc.).

Documentation & Compliance:

  • Oversee and ensure the precise filing of import/export documents.
  • Guarantee prompt submission of customs declarations and clearance paperwork via the appropriate online platforms (e.g., DagangNet).
  • Engage with regulatory agencies to maintain compliance with MITI, SIRIM, MAQIS, and other local entities.

Operational Support:

  • Monitor and track shipments while proactively alerting on any delays or issues.
  • Assist in logistics planning and coordination to enhance cost-efficiency and reduce lead times.
  • Generate reports and keep operational records for audits and internal assessments.

Job Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Diploma or degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2-3 years of experience in freight forwarding or logistics, ideally in export/import customer service roles.
  • Knowledge of freight documentation, Incoterms, and the import/export processes in Malaysia.

Skills:

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities in English and Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office and freight management software.
  • Well-organized, attentive to detail, and capable of handling multiple tasks in a high-pressure environment.
  • Customer-focused with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
