Job Description
- Assist in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining backend services and APIs for our software products.
- Work with Python, TypeScript, JavaScript, and MySQL to implement new features and improve existing ones.
- Collaborate with frontend developers to define clear API contracts and ensure smooth data flow between systems.
- Participate in code reviews, troubleshooting, and performance optimization of backend components.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following team standards and best practices.
- Contribute to improving development workflows, tooling, and internal documentation.
- Commit to a 6-month, full-time internship based in Malaysia.
Job Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT, or a related field.
- Basic experience with Python and/or TypeScript/JavaScript for backend development (coursework, projects, or personal work).
- Fundamental understanding of relational databases and MySQL (writing basic queries, designing simple schemas).
- Familiarity with building or consuming RESTful APIs or similar backend services.
- Basic understanding of version control (e.g., Git).
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and willingness to learn.
- Able to commit to a 6-month internship in Malaysia.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
