Job Description

 We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Consultant / Senior Consultant to join our growing Sustainability & Climate Risk Advisory team. In this role, you will partner with leading organisations across diverse industries to design, implement, and enhance sustainability frameworks, governance, ESG strategies, and climate-related reporting.

Job Scope

  1. Support clients in developing and implementing sustainability frameworks, policies, and governance structures aligned with applicable standards, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
  2. Facilitate materiality assessments to identify and prioritise sustainability matters that are most relevant to the organisation, its stakeholders, and long-term business performance.
  3. Establish ESG data collection and management processes to improve data quality, consistency, and reporting readiness.
  4. Identify and assess sustainability and climate-related risks and opportunities across business operations, projects, and value chains, and support their integration into risk management processes.
  5. Conduct climate scenario analysis using recognised methodologies (e.g., IPCC and NGFS) to evaluate potential physical and transition risks and support the development of appropriate response strategies.
  6. Support clients in developing practical climate adaptation, mitigation, and transition plans, including initiatives, targets, and implementation roadmaps.
  7. Assist in the development of greenhouse gas (GHG) inventories and emissions reporting for Scope 1, Scope 2, and relevant Scope 3 categories in accordance with the GHG Protocol.
  8. Prepare and review sustainability and climate-related disclosures in line with applicable reporting frameworks and regulatory requirements, including ISSB, GRI, TCFD, and Bursa Malaysia's NSRF.
  9. Deliver training, workshops, and capacity-building programmes to enhance sustainability awareness, knowledge, and implementation capabilities among client teams and internal staff.
  10. Manage client engagements, coordinate project delivery, maintain quality standards, prepare proposals, and foster strong client relationships.
     

Job Requirements

Qualifications/Education & Work Experience

  1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Sustainability, Environmental Science, Economics, Business Management, or a related field, with at least 2 to 5 years of experience in sustainability management and reporting.
  2. A Master's degree and professional certifications in ESG-related disciplines are an added advantage.
  3. Possess a strong understanding of ESG and sustainability concepts, including relevant standards, frameworks, regulations, and reporting requirements.
  4. Sound knowledge of GHG accounting, decarbonisation pathways, climate-related risk assessment, scenario analysis, and carbon markets. Experience in carbon and renewable energy markets is highly desirable.
  5. Excellent communication, stakeholder engagement, and project management skills.
  6. A growth mindset with a passion for continuous learning and innovation.
  7. Able and willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas, as required.
