 About the role

We are seeking a Purchasing Assistant to join our team at Ban Hin Bee Sdn Bhd in George Town, Penang. This is a full-time position, and we welcome applications from fresh graduates, especially those who are Mandarin-speaking.

What you'll be doing

• Assist the Purchasing Manager in the procurement of goods and services
• Place purchase orders, track deliveries, and ensure timely fulfilment
• Maintain accurate records of all purchasing activities
• Liaise with suppliers and negotiate favourable terms
• Prepare and process invoices, receipts, and other purchasing-related documentation
• Provide administrative support to the Purchasing department as needed

Job Requirements

What we're looking for

• Fresh graduate or entry-level experience in a purchasing or administrative role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, particularly in Mandarin and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
• Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Interest in the field of purchasing and supply chain management
