Bayes is a boutique consulting firm looking for a sharp, resourceful intern who is interested in marketing, business development, and building relationships in a professional B2B environment. This role is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, thinks commercially, and enjoys turning ideas into practical outreach and growth initiatives. 

This is a strong fit for someone who wants exposure beyond routine internship work and is excited to help grow a specialist consulting business in Malaysia and across the region. The role is designed as a pipeline opportunity for a future permanent business development position. 

What you'll do

• Support marketing and business development initiatives across Malaysia and selected regional markets.
   
• Assist with market mapping, prospect research, and identifying relevant companies, partners, and decision-makers.
   
• Help prepare outreach materials, company profiles, pitch decks, and follow-up communications.
   
• Support LinkedIn, email, and other professional outreach efforts for lead generation and relationship- building.
   
• Track leads, conversations, and pipeline activity in a structured and reliable manner.
   
• Assist with proposal support, meeting preparation, and business development follow-ups.
   
• Contribute ideas and execution support for targeted campaigns, partnership outreach, and brand-building initiatives aimed at decision-makers in insurance, risk, valuation, and related sectors.
   
• Work closely with a small experienced team in a mostly remote setup with periodic KL/PJ meetups.

Preferred background
 

• Currently pursuing a degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related fields.
  

Language requirements
 

• English and Bahasa Malaysia required.
   
• Fluency in Mandarin/Arabic/Bahasa Indonesia/Hindi will be an advantage.

Rounded candidates stand out. Leadership, extracurricular depth, public speaking, debate, student society involvement, content creation, entrepreneurship, or other evidence of maturity and initiative are all positives.
