Bee Chun Heng Foodstuff Sdn Bhd is a well-established food manufacturing company with a strong reputation for quality and operational excellence. We are looking for a dedicated Assistant Electrician to support our plant operations by assisting in the maintenance and upkeep of electrical systems within our production facilities.

Assistant Electrician:

Involve in all electrical maintenance activity, operates, inspects, and maintains mechanical and electrical equipment in assigned facilities.

Machinery You’ll Work With:

The production line includes machines for defrosting, slicing, mincing, cooking, and packaging food products. These machines ensure efficient processing, uniform quality, and hygienic packaging for products such as bakkwa, mooncakes, cookies, floss, and raw meat.

The production process uses several food-processing machines to handle different products.

• BBQ conveyor line operates with gas heating and a control box to regulate conveyor speed for barbeque bakkwa.
• Rheon machine having two chambers, it forms and fills products with desired weight such as mooncakes and cookies using dough and various pastes like lotus paste and pineapple paste.
• Vacuum packing machine seals food in moulded packaging film under vacuum using roll film to ensure hygienic and airtight packaging.
• Microwave machine efficiently defrosts frozen raw meat evenly.
• Packing machine heat-seals food products with film for further packaging.
• Slicer machine The product is placed into the slicer and moved toward the blade. When the machine starts, the blade cuts the product into uniform slices. The slice thickness can be adjusted to ensure consistent cutting for further processing or packaging.
• Mincer machine The mincer machine processes raw meat by feeding it toward a rotating cutting blade, exiting the machine in a uniform minced condition, ready for further processing.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in daily electrical maintenance activities for production machinery and facility equipment.
• Support inspections, servicing, and preventive maintenance of electrical systems, motors, control panels, and machinery.
• Assist in troubleshooting electrical faults and carrying out repairs under the supervision of Senior Electricians.
• Ensure all electrical work is performed in compliance with workplace safety standards, company procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Help maintain accurate records and documentation of maintenance and repair work.
• Support Senior Electricians during breakdowns, upgrades, and continuous improvement projects.
• Practice good housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are properly maintained.
• Follow workplace safety rules and actively participate in safety briefings and training sessions.

Job Requirements

• Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on experience assisting in electrical installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting, preferably in a Food & Beverage manufacturing or processing environment.
• Basic knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, motors, and control panels.
• Willingness to learn and work in an industrial production environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work well as part of a team.
• Willingness to work in a non-Halal environment.
• Physically fit and able to perform hands-on technical work.
