Job Description

About the Role 

We are looking for a Junior Backend Software Engineer to support the development of backend services and internal platform systems. 

You will work closely with senior engineers to build and maintain APIs, support integrations across services, and contribute to reporting and operational workflows. 

This role is suitable for engineers who are eager to grow their experience in microservices architecture, database systems, and distributed backend platforms. 

Key Responsibilities 

Backend Development 

• Develop backend services using C# (.NET / ASP.NET Core)  
• Build and maintain REST APIs  
• Support integration between internal platform services  
• Assist debugging service-to-service workflows  
• Support backend utilities and scripts where required  

Database Support 

Work with multiple databases including: 

• Microsoft SQL Server  
• MongoDB  
• MYSQL (OceanBase) 

Responsibilities include: 

• Writing SQL queries and assisting schema updates  
• Supporting reporting workflows and dashboards  
• Assisting investigation of data-related issues  
• Supporting data consistency across services  

Service Integration Support 

• Support integration between backend platform modules  
• Assist implementation of retry-safe API communication  
• Help troubleshoot integration failures across services  
• Support event-driven workflows where applicable  

DevOps & Deployment Support 

Work with: 

• AWS  
• Docker  
• GitLab CI  

Responsibilities include: 

• Supporting service deployments  
• Assisting CI/CD pipeline execution  
• Supporting environment troubleshooting with guidance  
• Learning container-based service deployment workflows  

Job Requirements

Required Skills 

Mandatory to speak and write Mandarin.

Basic experience with: 

• C# / .NET Core  
• REST API development  
• Microsoft SQL Server or relational databases  
• Git workflows  

Working knowledge of: 

• MongoDB or non-relational database 
• Python (basic scripting support)  
• AWS cloud environment (basic understanding)  
• Docker (basic familiarity)  

Nice to Have 

• Internship or academic experience building backend services  
• Exposure to microservices architecture  
• Familiarity with MSSQL, Mongo, MYSQL 
• Experience supporting reporting tools or dashboards  
• Exposure to monitoring tools (Datadog / SigNoz / Prometheus / Graylog)
