Job Description
We are looking for a IT Manager to lead the technology vision, strategy, and execution for our web2 to web3 fintech product suite. This Executive-level role is responsible for overseeing the development, deployment, and maintenance of secure, scalable, and innovative web2.5 fintech solutions that deliver superior user experiences. The IT Manager plays a pivotal role in aligning technology initiatives with business goals in a highly regulated and fast-paced industry.
WHAT YOU WILL LEAD:
Technology Vision & Strategy
- Stabilize & ship v1 to GA: Own a hardening plan (3 months) to improve performance, reliability, and security; close P0/P1 gaps; and reach GA with clear exit criteria (SLOs, test coverage, audit readiness, runbooks, on-call).
- Dual-track leadership: Run Track A (v1 Ops/Hardening) and Track B (v2 Discovery/Build) in parallel without resource contention; publish capacity plans and risk burn-down weekly.
- Define the v2 roadmap (3–9 months): Set product/architecture goals for web2.5 (modular services, data/ledger integrity, MPC/HSM/KMS, observability), with monthly release trains
- and measurable outcomes (adoption, latency, incident rate, cost/tx).
End-to-End Delivery
- Own SDLC, CI/CD, and release cadence across WaaS, invoicing/off-ramp, and card programs.
- Institute crisp Definition of Ready/Done, quality gates, and redictable sprints/quarterly planning.
Security, Risk & Compliance
- Establish secure SDLC and incident management (on-call, SLAs/SLOs, post-mortems).
- Oversee MPC/HSM/KMS, secrets management, role segregation, and chain/treasury operations.
- Partner with Compliance for ISO 27001/SOC 2; define PCI DSS scope and control ownership for card rails.
Architecture & Reliability
- Design cloud-native, cost-aware, multi-region architecture (preferably AWS); implement observability (logs/metrics/traces) and DR/BCP.
- Ensure low-latency UX with strong consistency for ledgers, settlements, and card events.
People & Org
- Build and mentor a high-performing, cross-border team (backend, frontend, mobile, DevOps/SRE, SecEng, QA).
- Set engineering career ladders, review cycles, documentation standards, and a blameless culture of learning
Stakeholders & Partners
- Align with CEO/COO/Compliance on roadmap, audits, and regulator/bank/processor expectations.
- Manage key vendors (KYC/KYT, processors, liquidity providers, cloud, analytics).
Success Metrics (first 12 months)
- On-time delivery: ≥85% of roadmap milestones delivered as committed.
- Reliability: ≥99.95% uptime on core services; MTTR < 60 min; change-failure rate < 10%.
- Security: 0 critical vulns open > 7 days; measurable phishing/resilience drills; pass ISO/SOC surveillance.
- Team health: Senior IC time-to-hire < 60 days; <10% regrettable attrition; eNPS > +30.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Run weekly delivery reviews; unblock teams; reset plans when risks appear.
- Own CI/CD, release cadence, and deployment safety (feature flags, canary, rollbacks).
- Chair incident reviews; ensure crisp RCAs and corrective actions are implemented.
- Maintain live runbooks and playbooks for deployments, rollbacks, and security breaches.
