We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Accounting Executive to manage the accounting and finance operations for a portfolio of Malaysia and Singapore clients within a dynamic outsourcing environment. You will be responsible for handling full-set accounting, financial reporting, and statutory compliance while supporting regional operations and ensuring high standards of accuracy and client service delivery.
Handle full-set accounts for a portfolio of Malaysia and Singapore clients across various industries.
Prepare monthly management accounts, financial reports, and supporting schedules in accordance with MFRS and SFRS requirements.
Perform bank reconciliations, accounts payable/receivable functions, and general ledger maintenance.
Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities for all assigned entities.
Assist in the preparation of corporate tax computations, SST/GST filings, and statutory submissions.
Ensure compliance with local regulatory requirements including SSM, LHDN, IRAS, CPF, EPF, SOCSO, and related authorities.
Coordinate with auditors, tax agents, and company secretaries during annual audit and filing exercises.
Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation for compliance purposes.
Monitor and reconcile financial transactions to ensure data accuracy and completeness.
Investigate and resolve accounting discrepancies, variances, and client queries in a timely manner.
Support payroll and cash flow monitoring where required.
Ensure accounting data is properly maintained within accounting and ERP systems.
Act as a key point of contact for clients regarding accounting and operational matters.
Work closely with internal tax, payroll, and corporate secretarial teams to ensure seamless service delivery.
Provide guidance and support to junior accounting staff when required.
Prepare operational reports and client updates for management review.
Education: Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
Professional Certification: ACCA, CPA, or equivalent qualifications/part qualifications are advantageous.
Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of accounting experience within an accounting firm, outsourcing provider, or shared services environment.
Regulatory Knowledge: Good understanding of Malaysian and Singapore accounting standards, tax regulations, and statutory compliance requirements.
Independence: Ability to manage multiple client portfolios with minimal supervision.
Precision: Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy in financial reporting.
Communication: Good written and verbal English communication skills for regional client coordination.
Time Management: Ability to prioritize tasks and meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Adaptability: Comfortable supporting both Malaysia and Singapore operational requirements and working across regional timelines.
