Job Description

Lead the design and implementation of enterprise platform architecture, security frameworks, and core engineering services. Manage the full security lifecycle of bp’s unified data platform, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. Drive performance optimization, availability, and scalability across global data platforms. Lead enterprise modernization efforts, ensuring smooth integration with existing IT infrastructure. Establish governance frameworks, risk management strategies, and enforce security standards. Develop and implement automated systems for security monitoring, vulnerability detection, and identity and access management (IAM). Promote the adoption of CI/CD pipelines, DevOps culture, and Infrastructure-as-Code tools (e.g., AWS CDK, Azure Bicep). Enhance platform resilience with disaster recovery, high-availability, and business continuity strategies. Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to align solutions with strategic business objectives. Provide technical leadership and mentorship, fostering a high-performance, growth-oriented engineering culture. Contribute to strategic decisions on platform investments, cybersecurity risk, and operational effectiveness. Partner with senior engineers to build and execute long-term technology roadmaps that reduce complexity, enhance scalability, and improve sustainability. Align cross-functional efforts to scale bp’s data services efficiently, securely, and globally.
