Key Responsibilities – Production Supervisor (Powder Coating)

Production Operations

• Supervise daily powder coating production line and ensure targets are met. 
• Monitor coating processes: surface prep, powder application, curing, machine settings, temperature, and coating thickness. 
• Coordinate production schedules with planning and logistics teams. 
• Minimize machine downtime and production interruptions. 

Quality Control

• Ensure coating meets customer and internal specifications. 
• Inspect thickness, adhesion, and finish quality. 
• Investigate and resolve defects (peeling, orange peel, pinholes, uneven coating). 
• Collaborate with QA team on inspections and corrective actions. 

Team Supervision

• Lead and assign tasks to production operators and line workers. 
• Train staff on procedures, safety, and quality standards. 
• Monitor performance and maintain discipline. 

Continuous Improvement

• Identify productivity improvements and waste reduction opportunities. 
• Support lean manufacturing/process improvement initiatives. 
• Monitor powder consumption and coating efficiency.

Job Requirements

Education

• Diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering preferred.

Experience

• 3–5 years experience in powder coating or metal finishing operations.
• At least 1–2 years supervisory experience in manufacturing.

Skills

• Knowledge of powder coating processes and equipment.
• Basic understanding of coating thickness measurement and quality standards.
• Leadership and team management skills.
• Problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
• Ability to work in shift-based manufacturing environments.
