About the role

Join Canon Marketing (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd in Glenmarie, Selangor as a Credit Control & Collection Executive. This full-time position offers an exciting opportunity to be part of a leading global brand in the accounting and finance sector. You will play a vital role in maintaining the company’s financial health by managing accounts receivable and implementing effective credit control strategies.

What you'll be doing

• Monitor and follow up overdue accounts to ensure timely customer payments.
• Review customer accounts status and approve sales orders release.
• Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies by liaising with the customers in order to settle outstanding, overdue and disputed debts.  This include prepare and sending out invoices & statements when requested by customers.
• Identify & address credit risks, propose appropriate credit control measures.
• Monitor aged balances to minimize bad debt risks.
• For long overdue accounts, including issuing and or sending reminder letters, NOD (Notice of Demand), iLOD (Internal Letter of Demand), external LOD (Letter of Demand) etc.
• Conduct credit evaluations and reviews of customers, including updating customers information.
• Prepare collection and analysis reports for credit management.
• Collaborate with internal teams (sales, finance) and external stakeholders to strengthen relationships and improve credit management.
• Handle other credit control and collection matters as assigned.

Job Requirements

What we're looking for

• Diploma or higher qualification.
• 2–3 years of credit control experience (minimum 2 years in similar role).
• Proficiency in Mandarin preferred (to liaise with Mandarin-speaking clients).
• Strong MS Office & Excel skills.
• Familiarity with accounting software, data analysis, and reporting.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• Team player who is self-motivated, analytical, and able to work independently.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines.
