Job Description

Job Purpose and Impact

We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Master Planner to lead the production planning and inventory management for our edible oil refinery operations in Malaysia. This role is critical in ensuring optimal supply chain performance, balancing demand and supply, and driving operational efficiency across multiple refinery sites. 

Key Accountabilities

Master Planning 

  • Develop and maintain master production schedules aligned with demand forecasts, inventory targets, and capacity constraints. 
  • Collaborate with procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and commercial teams to ensure end-to-end supply chain alignment. 
  • Monitor and analyze plant capacity utilization, identifying bottlenecks and recommending solutions. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, systems, and KPIs. 
  • Manage planning parameters in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/APO, Oracle, or equivalent). 
  • Identify and resolve bottlenecks in the supply chain- planning process.  
  • Manage supply constraint by providing scenarios simulation for decision making.  
  • Control and monitor on demand and supply for constraint items.   
  • Lead/Co-lead S&OP (Sales & Operations Planning) processes for edible oil categories, ensuring timely and accurate inputs. 
  • Inventory Planning & Optimization 
  • Optimize inventory levels to meet service level targets while minimizing working capital. 
  • Perform annual/bi-annual ABCXYZ matrix for SKU rationalization.  

Process Optimization 

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives in planning processes, systems, and KPIs. 
  • Manage planning parameters in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/APO, Oracle, or equivalent). 
  • Support digital transformation and automation of manual planning tasks.  

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum requirement of 1 year relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field. Master’s degree is a plus. 
  • Minimum 5–8 years of experience in supply planning or production planning, preferably in edible oil, FMCG, or process manufacturing. 
  • Strong understanding of refinery operations, production cycles, and material flows. 
  • Proficiency in planning tools and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, etc.). 
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills. 
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams. 
  • Good stakeholder management, both internal and external. 
  • Proficiency in both Mandarin and English. 
  • Strong leadership and problem-solving capabilities.
