Job Description

Job Purpose and Impact

The Finance, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Intern will support key financial planning, operational performance tracking, and end‑to‑end supply chain activities within a manufacturing environment. This role provides broad exposure to manufacturing finance, cost analysis, procurement, logistics, and process improvement while collaborating closely with cross‑functional teams to enhance operational efficiency and financial accuracy.

Key Accountabilities

Finance & Manufacturing Cost Analysis + Supply Chain

  • Assist in preparing daily/weekly/monthly manufacturing performance reports.
  • Support cost tracking for materials, production, and logistics.
  • Help analyze variances between actual and standard cost (e.g., material usage, efficiency, scrap).
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and month-end closing activities.
  • Participate in cost-saving and productivity improvement initiatives.
  • Support inventory reconciliation, stock-level monitoring, and data accuracy checks.

Process Improvement (Finance + Supply Chain)

  • Collaborate on continuous improvement initiatives within finance and supply chain workflows.
  • Support process mapping and identify inefficiencies across reporting, inventory, or operational processes.
  • Participate in Lean/Kaizen projects on cycle time reduction, accuracy improvement, or automation.
  • Assist in developing SOPs, process documentation, and best practices.

Data Management & Reporting

  • Compile and analyze operational and financial data to support business decisions.
  • Prepare dashboards, performance trackers, and KPI reports for management reviews.
  • Ensure all data, documentation, and records meet compliance and audit requirements.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Finance teams on daily operations or improvement initiatives.
  • Support project teams on digitalization, system enhancements, or process integration work.
