Job Description

To ensure effective maintenance of all Operational Technology related devices and solve automation related issues within utilities, brewery and packaging 


Job Requirements

  •  To maintain and backup all Automation software.
  • Ensure all changes to program is properly recorded
  • Perform regular maintenance on automation equipment, performing repairs, and troubleshooting when necessary.
  • Analyze production processes, develop automation solutions.
  • Work on simple custom automation solutions to support the team
  • Provide technician direction and support to fellow team members.
  • Assist in planning, organizing, monitoring, and oversight of all phases of test automation.
  • Ensure all assets are still supported. Trigger when assets are nearing expiry.
  • Support project team or other teams on Automation related task when required.
  • Support on OT related network issues.
  • 24 hours support when needed.
  • Able to perform additional task given by OT Manager.
  • Integration of Technologies:
    a. Integrate new technologies and components into existing operational systems to enhance efficiency, automation, and overall performance.
  • Reliability and Availability:
    a. Focus on designing systems that prioritize reliability and availability, minimizing downtime and ensuring continuous operation of critical processes.
  • Cybersecurity Implementation:
    a. Implement robust cybersecurity measures within OT systems to protect against unauthorized access, data breaches, and other cyber threats.
  • Network Design and Optimization:
    a. Design and optimize communication networks that connect various components of the OT infrastructure, ensuring seamless data flow and system integration.
  • Performance Monitoring and Analysis:
    a. Develop and implement monitoring tools and procedures to assess the performance of operational systems, promptly identifying and addressing any issues.
  • Collaboration with Cross-functional Teams:
    a. Collaborate with IT teams, as well as other relevant departments, to ensure alignment between operational and information technology and address integration challenges.
  • Technology Evaluation and Adoption:
    a. Evaluate emerging technologies relevant to operational systems and recommend their adoption based on potential benefits and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Documentation and Compliance:
    a. Maintain comprehensive documentation of system configurations and changes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Troubleshooting and Incident Response:
    a. Develop and implement procedures for troubleshooting technical issues and responding to incidents promptly to minimize disruptions.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    a. Identify opportunities for process optimization and system enhancements to improve overall efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Training and Knowledge Transfer:
    a. Provide training to operational staff and other stakeholders on the proper use and maintenance of OT systems, facilitating knowledge transfer within the organization.
  • Risk Assessment and Mitigation:
    a. Conduct risk assessments to identify potential vulnerabilities and implement mitigation strategies to safeguard critical assets and processes.
  • Vendor Management:
    a. Manage relationships with technology vendors, ensuring that products and services meet the organization's requirements and standards.
  • Scalability and Future Planning:
    a. Design systems with scalability in mind, anticipating future growth and technological advancements to ensure long-term viability and relevance.
