• Project Management:

Oversee the design process for mechanical and electrical systems from concept to completion.

Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that all designs meet project specifications, timelines, and budgets.

Coordinate with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure design objectives are met.

• Team Leadership:

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and innovative work environment.

Assign tasks and manage workload distribution within the design team.

Conduct performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.

• Design and Development:

Develop and review detailed mechanical and electrical designs, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Utilize advanced design software and tools to create accurate and efficient designs.

Perform technical calculations and simulations to validate design concepts.

• Quality Assurance:

Implement and maintain quality control processes to ensure the highest standards of design accuracy and reliability.

Conduct design reviews and audits to identify and address potential issues.

Ensure all designs are documented accurately and comprehensively.

• Client Interaction:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding design-related matters.

Present design concepts and solutions to clients, addressing their needs and concerns.

Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and exceptional service.

• Continuous Improvement:

Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices.

Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance design efficiency and quality.

Promote a culture of continuous learning and development within the design team.

Ensure full compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 requirements, including adherence to company policies, site SHE rules, risk assessments, and applicable laws and regulations.

Job Requirements

Education & Experience (Basic requirement for this position)

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in mechanical and electrical design, with at least 3 years in a leadership or management role.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks), and a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical systems.
• Demonstrated experience in managing complex design projects from inception to completion.
• Certifications: Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification is added advantage.
