About the Role
The People Generalist serves as a trusted advisor to managers and employees, with a strong focus on employee relations, performance management, and workplace issue resolution. This role partners closely with the business to foster positive employee experience, ensure the consistent application of HR policies and employment practices, and support people’s initiatives across the employee lifecycle.
What You'll Do
- Act as the primary HR contact for employee relations matters, providing guidance and support to managers and employees.
- Manage employee relations cases, including workplace investigations, grievances, misconduct, disciplinary actions, conflict resolution, and performance-related concerns.
- Advise managers on performance management matters, including coaching, documentation, performance improvement plans (PIPs), and employee lifecycle decisions.
- Interpret and apply HR policies, employment legislation, and company procedures to ensure fair, consistent, and compliant people practices.
- Support employee lifecycle activities, including onboarding, transfers, promotions, organizational changes, and offboarding.
- Analyze employee relations trends and people metrics to identify risks, recommend solutions, and support business decision-making.
- Support employee engagement, retention, recognition, and culture-building initiatives to enhance the overall employee experience.
- Partner with Talent Acquisition and other People team functions to support workforce planning and talent objectives.
- Maintain accurate HR documentation and records, ensuring compliance with internal policies and applicable employment laws.
- Participate in HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives that enhance people processes, efficiencies, and service delivery.
- Build strong stakeholder relationships and serve as a trusted advisor to managers and employees.

What You'll Need:
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 3 to 6 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a Human Resources Generalist, Employee Relations, or employee-facing HR advisory role.
- Demonstrated experience managing employee relations matters, workplace investigations, and performance management processes.
- Good understanding of employment legislation and HR best practices.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, consultation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to analyze people data and provide practical recommendations to support business outcomes.
- Experience working in a matrixed, dynamic, or fast-paced environment is preferred.
- Professional HR certification (e.g., CIPD, SHRM, PHRi, MIHRM) is an added advantage.
