Summary

The Associate, IT Infrastructure will install, maintain, upgrade, and continuously improve the site's operating environment, ensuring the ongoing reliability, performance and security of the infrastructure. This includes monitoring and up keeping the operating environments; responding to incidents & problems, deployment of new technologies as well as design, install, configure, maintain and perform testing of PC/server operating systems, networks, and related utilities and hardware. Other responsibilities include troubleshooting problems as reported by users, supporting Web access and telephony services, and the acquisition, replacement and decommissioning of related equipment, software and services.

Detailed Description

• Responsible for maintaining computer systems within a business setting.
• Duties include installing computers and other hardware, updating or repairing existing systems and troubleshooting problems with hardware & software.
• Primary responsibility is to provide technical support to an organization’s employees and customers.
• Prepare and maintain system documentation, examining records and reports, and operating practices.
• Support and participate in IT projects and reviews, including preparation and response to security reviews.
• Support the meeting room equipment & telephony (IP phone).
• Typically work for corporations within the team to set up, maintain and repair computer systems for users across departments.
• Work closely with other IT personnel to troubleshoot hardware problems and install new equipment.
• Use the knowledge of computers to ensure that users have up-to-date hardware and software to complete jobs properly.
• Responsible for helping users learn how to use software, programs and hardware.
• Duties and responsibilities may vary depending on the task, but typically include the following: 
  • Paying close attention to the user’s description of their computer problem and asking questions to identify the problem and determine how to solve it.
  • Training users on how the use new hardware or software.
  • Testing and evaluating the organization’s computer network.
  • Troubleshooting network problems and individual user hardware or software problems.
  • Setting up or repairing computer hardware and other associated devices such as printers and scanners.
  • Works under minimum Supervision.
  • Seeks approval from others on matters outside of job/role scope.
  • Receives instruction on specific assignment objectives and possible solutions.

• Strong knowledge of computer setup & troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of printer’s setup & troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office & etc.
• Knowledge of Scanner, RF Gun, Photocopy machine
• Knowledge of Active Directory & share folder setup & support
• Knowledge of IT security tools such as antivirus & vulnerability systems, computer encryption tool 
• Knowledge of Inventory Management (CMDB)
• Knowledge of Software & Licensing
• Knowledge of endpoint network troubleshooting
• Knowledge of meeting room equipment & telephony (IP Phone)

Typical Experience & Education

• IT Degree holder with 1 - 3 years of experience or IT Diploma holder with 6 years of experience and above.
• IT Junior Executive will be the right talent for this position.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
