Summary

The Senior Specialist, IT Solutions provides business, process and technical expertise to teams that are responsible for assessing, designing, delivering and supporting IT solutions to clients and customers. The Senior IT Solution Specialist will also have the experience and responsibility to ensure that solution team members that are external to IT or even Celestica will also provide quality input and deliverables in a way that meets Celestica's overall goals and requirements, and will need to manage relationships and negotiate and resolve conflict when necessary.  The Senior IT Solution Specialist will have the knowledge and experience to establish goals and strategies in areas of speciality.

Detailed Description

Performs tasks such as, but not limited to, the following:

• Support and communicate with stakeholders including IT/Business Partners as well as external/internal communities for opportunities and or alignment of solution strategy
• Support in providing solution architecture as well as guidance in the selected area of responsibility (e.g. Shopfloor, IT, SCM, Ops, etc.)
• Provide guidance in IT Process (e.g. Operating Model, Governance, System Development Life Cycle)
• Provide direction and/or guidance in relevant technologies and concepts (e.g. Azure, Cloud Tech, .NET, SAP/ABAP, etc.)
• Perform technical execution of solutions including requirements gathering, blueprinting, development and deployment
  • Release management and systems integration support
  • Support suppliers with technical supplier enablement troubleshooting and issue resolution (e.g. cXML integration of Purchase Order and Invoices)
  • Deliver technical Catalog enablement support and testing
  • Confirm adherence to performance measures, service standards as articulated in service level agreements to ensure that client needs / expectations for timely, quality services are being met
  • Coordinate new certificate update (eg. ADFS) between CLS IT and vendor
  • Provide technical assistance and manage releases by working collaboratively with stakeholders, including release planning, environment mapping, and proactively monitoring the health of integrated releases
  • Monitor integrations and facilitate exception and error handling in the interfaces
  • Execute technical enhancements and configuration changes in the platform
  • Deploy SQL codes as part of advanced configurations and reporting engine
  • Regression test of interfaces for enhancements and releases
  • Liaise between internal and S2P platform technical teams
  • Develop product recommendations based on customer feedback, User experience (UX) interpretation of customer feedback, commercial / technical / legal assessments, and leveraging their own domain of experience

Knowledge/Skills/Competencies

• 3 to 7+ years experience in Procurement / Source-to-Pay (S2P) 
• Understanding of fundamental principles of Procure to Pay (P2P) including spend and commodity taxonomies, requisitioning, PO generation, receiving, matching, invoice processing and disbursement
• Experience in eCatalogs cleansing, pricing and content maintenance and enrichment
• Experience enabling suppliers to participate in portal technology and web-based supplier transactions such as eProcurement, eCatalog, eInvoicing, etc. 
• Experience with release management, systems development life cycle and system testing life cycle is required
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, selling ideas at multiple levels, internally and externally
• Investigative and research skills for developing reports on supplier trends and categories.
• Strong understanding of release management and the ability to put it into action 
• Systems thinker, with knowledge of cloud-based applications and integrations with SAP
• Make decisions independently, with minimal direction, to respond to changing business priorities, and represent the department as required 
• Strong influencing and negotiating skills with the ability to build and maintain effective working relationships 
• Strong problem-solving skills and decision-making skills to interpret and or analyze factual and conceptual information 
• Robust analytical and problem solving skills to develop, review, interpret and document business issues and opportunities
• S2P Platform development or administration experience, an asset
• Knowledge of Celestica technology infrastructure (SAP) and processes, an asset
• Understanding of EDI concept and working knowledge with Seeburger X12, EDIFACT standards.
• Should have experience in B2B integrations i.e. orders, order change, order response etc. with vendors.
• Working knowledge on REST and SOAP based integrations.
• Experience in FTP, EDI VAN connectivity along with SAP IDOC concepts will be advantageous.

Physical Demands

• Duties of this position are performed in a normal office environment.
• Duties may require extended periods of sitting and sustained visual concentration on a computer monitor or on numbers and other detailed data. Repetitive manual movements (e.g., data entry, using a computer mouse, using a calculator, etc.) are frequently required.
