Overview

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated SAP Production Planning (PP) & Logistics (MM/WM) Functional Consultant to join our SAP CoE team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the configuration, implementation, and support of the SAP Production Planning (PP) module primarily, as well as other Logistics modules such as SAP MM or WM. This role requires a strong understanding of manufacturing principles and deep functional expertise in SAP PP and other Logistics modules.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide functional support and guidance primarily in SAP PP module as well as other SCM modules. Additionally, provide leadership and coaching to new or junior resources in the team.
Work closely with users to understand requirements and develop solutions in accordance with organization/ client standards and architecture.
Analyze business requirements and mapping of those to SAP best-practice business processes and data models to meet client requirements effectively.
Configure the SAP system to meet business requirements and works with other team to complete object development and testing.
Design and develop test plans for executing unit, integration, system, data conversion or acceptance testing.
Coordinate execution of support tasks with other teams and be comfortable in working under the pressure of tight deadlines.
Conduct knowledge transfer and training of users.
Liaise with external/in-house developers and site support for system changes and maintenance.
Ensure project and support service level targets are met.
Perform production support activities (eg. break/fix, "how-to expertise", troubleshooting)

Required Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or consideration of an equivalent combination of education and experience
Experience in a discrete manufacturing environment.
At least 8 years experience as Senior PP / SCM roles
Involvement in at least 5 full-cycle SAP implementations.
Expertise in functional business processes and SAP PP configuration/technical knowledge in the areas of Production Planning, MRP, Demand Management and shopfloor.
In-depth knowledge of System design/development (technical specification for forms, reports, interfaces, data conversions, extensions/modifications and workflows)
Extensive knowledge of integration with other SAP modules (FI, SD and other SCM modules).
Exposure to system integration via EDI, ALE and IDOC
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent communication and problem-resolution skills.
S/4 HANA experience is an added advantage
Willingness to be based at the Penang Site
