Role Summary

We are seeking a mid-level DevOps Engineer with strong AWS experience to support and evolve our cloud infrastructure and deployment pipelines. In this role, you will focus on building reliable, automated, and secure systems that enable internal teams to use and deliver software efficiently at scale.

You’ll be hands-on with AWS services, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD, while collaborating closely with internal stakeholders and the IT team.

Key Responsibilities

• Build, operate, and improve AWS-based infrastructure for production and non-production environments
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Cloud Formation, Terraform (or similar)
• Design, maintain, and optimise CI/CD pipelines for cloud-hosted applications
• Support containerised workloads using Docker (EKS)
• Monitor system health, performance, and cost; respond to incidents and root-cause issues
• Implement security best practices across AWS (IAM, networking, secrets, logging)
• Work with development teams to improve deployment patterns and cloud architecture
• Contribute to documentation, runbooks, and operational standards

Job Requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 - 5 years’ experience in a DevOps or Cloud Engineer role
• Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments
• Experience with core AWS services such as:
• EC2, ECS and/or EKS
• VPC, ALB/NLB, Route 53
• S3, RDS, DynamoDB
• IAM, CloudWatch
• API Gateway,  
• CodeBuild, CodeDeploy and CodePipeline
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar) 
• CI/CD experience (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Bit Bucket or similar)
• Containerisation experience (Docker)
• Scripting or automation skills (Bash, Python, or similar)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools (Grafana, CloudWatch, Prometheus)
• Rest/Soap API integrations
• Solid understanding of networking and security fundamentals
• Comfortable working with Linux-based systems
• Cost optimisation awareness in AWS
• Strong command of English

Nice to Have

• Experience with secrets management (AWS Secrets Manager, SSM Parameter Store)
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect Associate, DevOps Engineer Associate)
• Knowledge of web development frameworks including Laravel and/or React, Vue and Tailwind CSS

Work Style

• This is an office-based role. Some flexibility in working hours may be provided in time based on operational needs
