Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations to ensure production goals are met efficiently.
  • Supervise maintenance staff to ensure equipment is properly maintained and any breakdowns are promptly addressed.
  • Prepare and manage the department’s budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.
  • Coordinate with engineering and operations teams for smooth maintenance and operations.
  • Monitor inventory levels for maintenance supplies and equipment, ensuring timely reordering and accurate expenditure tracking.
  • Identify opportunities for process, productivity, and quality improvements within the plant.
  • Lead monthly stocktaking and ensure proper inventory control.
  • Organize training programs to enhance team skills and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and local regulations during operations and inspections.
  • Assist with additional tasks as required by management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical), Maintenance Management, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in operations roles.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and leadership skills, with proven ability to manage teams in challenging environments.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and quality control standards (ISO, OHSAS, etc.), and proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Willing to work in Bidor, Perak
