Job Description

1. Safety Management & Compliance

  • Establish and uphold Safety & Health policies, site-specific safety plans, and procedures for safe work practices.
     
  • Perform daily inspections on-site to verify adherence to OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, DOSH regulations, CIDB standards, and client specifications.
     
  • Create and refresh HIRARC, JSA, Method Statements, and Emergency Response Plans.
     

2. Incident Reporting & Investigation

  • Document and investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses.
     
  • Compile investigation reports and recommend corrective and preventive strategies.
     

3. Training & Safety Awareness

  • Facilitate safety orientations, toolbox discussions, and safety updates.
     
  • Encourage a culture of safety and ensure compliance with safe work protocols among employees.
     

4. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain statutory records as required by DOSH and ensure preparedness for audits.
     
  • Prepare monthly HSE reports and all necessary documentation for clients and regulatory bodies.
     
  • Coordinate with DOSH, BOMBA, local authorities, and other agencies regarding safety issues.
     

5. Monitoring & Risk Control

  • Oversee high-risk operations, including lifting, confined space tasks, work at heights, hot works, and heavy machinery use.
     
  • Monitor PPE compliance and enforce safety regulations.
     
  • Organize and supervise emergency response practice drills.
     

Job Requirements

Requirements

  • Must hold a valid DOSH (JKKP) Green Book.
     
  • At least 5 years of experience in construction, engineering, marine, or infrastructure projects within Malaysia.
     
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, and Malaysian safety regulations.
     
  • Fluency in Mandarin (Chinese) is essential for liaising with management in China.
     
  • Strong leadership, communication, and analytical skills.

     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with large-scale infrastructure or industrial projects.
     
  • Knowledge of ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health & Safety Management System.
     
  • Competence in delivering safety training and presentations.
