Job Description

- Develop, maintain and update the project master schedule, baseline programme and short-term look-ahead programmes using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project, covering design, procurement, fabrication, delivery, installation, testing and commissioning.

- Establish the Work Breakdown Structure and activity sequencing; carry out resource and cost loading; produce manpower, material, plant and equipment histograms.

- Monitor actual site progress against the baseline on a daily, weekly and monthly basis through site walks and progress verification.

- Prepare weekly look-ahead programmes, monthly progress reports, S-curves and management dashboards.

- Perform critical path and delay impact analysis; identify slippage, bottlenecks and critical interfaces early; develop mitigation and recovery programmes.

- Coordinate work fronts, activity sequencing and interfaces with the site execution team, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and the client's representatives; participate in weekly progress meetings.

- Support the preparation of Extension of Time (EOT) claims, delay substantiation and contractual correspondence.

- Maintain planning records including schedule revisions, progress measurements, supporting photographs and correspondence.

- Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, CIDB requirements and occupational safety and health regulations.

Job Requirements

1. Academic Qualification
   A Bachelor's Degree (MQF Level 6) in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying or another construction-related discipline, from a programme accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). Candidates holding an engineering degree recognised by the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) for admission to the Register of Graduate Engineers are strongly preferred. A postgraduate qualification in project or construction management will be an added advantage.
2. Working Experience
   Minimum two (2) years of site-based planning and scheduling experience in building, infrastructure or industrial construction projects, covering preparation of work programmes, monitoring of site progress against the approved baseline, and coordination with site execution teams and subcontractors. Experience in IBS, precast or modular construction will be an added advantage.
3. Statutory Registration (Mandatory)
   The candidate must hold a valid CIDB Construction Personnel Registration Card ("Green Card") issued under Section 33 of the Construction Industry Development Board Act 1994 (Act 520), or be eligible to obtain one upon commencement of employment.
   The candidate must be registered, or be eligible to be registered, as a Graduate Engineer with the Board of Engineers Malaysia under the Registration of Engineers Act 1967 (Act 138).
4. Preferred Certifications / Professional Accreditations

• CIDB Certified Construction Project Manager (CCPM) or Certified Construction Manager (CCM) — Construction Skills Competency Certificate Level 6
• Project Management Professional (PMP), PMI Scheduling Professional (PMI-SP), PRINCE2, or membership of CIOB / IEM
• CIDB Site Safety Supervisor (SSS), or DOSH Occupational Safety and Health Coordinator (OSH-C)
• Candidates progressing towards Professional Engineer (Ir. / P.Eng.) registration with BEM will be favourably considered

1. Technical Competency
   Proficient in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Project. Able to develop and maintain the project baseline schedule, work breakdown structure, S-curves and resource histograms; perform critical path and delay analysis; and prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards and Extension of Time (EOT) substantiation.
2. Language and Mobility
   Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English, both written and spoken, as required for correspondence with CIDB, local authorities, consultants and subcontractors. Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage. Willing to be based full-time at the project site.
