Job Description

Financial Management & Compliance

  • Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and financial record-keeping.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements, tax filings, and auditing standards.
  • Coordinate with external auditors for annual company audits.

Systems & Processes

  • Manage accounting processes in AutoCount and UBS systems.
  • Maintain general ledger, reconcile accounts, and monitor cash flow.
  • Review and approve journal entries, payments, and expense claims.
  • Ensure rental invoices, return inwards, and goods return bills prepared by the Credit Department are accurate and provide guidance when issues arise.

Inventory & Stock Management

  • Ensure scaffolding material records are accurate and tally with the AutoCount system during annual audit.

Team Leadership

  • Supervise and guide 2 Account Executives, ensuring task accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide training and support to improve team performance.
  • Delegate and review work to maintain high quality and timeliness.

Coordination

  • Collaborate with other departments for smooth operational and financial workflows.
  • Liaise with banks, suppliers, and service providers regarding financial matters.

Job Requirements

We are seeking a highly organised and experienced Account Manager to lead our finance and accounts function. This role will oversee company accounting operations, ensure compliance with financial regulations, and manage a small accounts team. 

This position replaces our long-serving Account Manager who is retiring after 15 years of service. A smooth transition and ability to uphold high standards will be essential. 

  • Minimum Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in accounting, preferably in construction, rental, or project-based industries.
  • Experience in managing or supervising a team is an advantage.
  • Proficient in AutoCount and UBS accounting systems.
  • Strong knowledge of Malaysian accounting standards, taxation, and audit requirements.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English, Mandarin, and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to resolve issues independently.
  • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to work closely across departments.
