Job Description

As a Senior Account Executive, you will be responsible for overseeing the company’s accounting functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance, and smooth coordination with internal and external stakeholders.

Financial Management & Reporting

  • Handle full sets of management accounts for monthly, quarterly, and annual closing, including audit purposes.
  • Prepare and review financial statements, management reports, and variance analysis.
  • Present financial performance, revenue, purchases, and cash flow reports to management and directors.
  • Perform cost management, budgeting, forecasting, and budgeted cash flow analysis.
  • Prepare creditor ageing and monitor overall cash flow position.

Compliance & Audit

  • Ensure compliance with statutory requirements including taxation, EPF, SOCSO, EIS, HRDF, and other regulatory filings.
  • Coordinate with external auditors and support annual audit processes.
  • Ensure accounting practices comply with auditing standards and company policies.

Systems, Processes & Controls

  • Manage accounting operations using AutoCount and UBS systems.
  • Maintain general ledger, perform account reconciliations, and review journal entries.
  • Review and approve payments, expense claims, and petty cash transactions.
  • Support monthly closing activities and ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Billing, Credit & Inventory Coordination

  • Review rental invoices, return inwards, goods return bills, and credit notes prepared by the Credit Department, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing credit notes and processing deposit refunds for returned scaffolding materials on a timely basis.
  • Ensure scaffolding inventory and stock records are accurate and tally with the AutoCount system, especially during annual audits.

Payroll & Administrative Accounting

  • Handle payroll processing and ensure timely statutory submissions.
  • Manage petty cash and oversee day-to-day accounting support functions.

Coordination & Liaison

  • Collaborate closely with internal departments to ensure smooth financial and operational workflows.
  • Liaise with banks, suppliers, auditors, and service providers on financial matters.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • At least 4 years of working experience in accounting/finance (fresh graduates are encouraged to apply).
  • Full Set account knowledge is required. 
  • Computer skills required for handling AutoCount and UBS account system. 
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Good communication skills in English, Malay, and Chinese (preferred).
