Job Description

Job Summary

The Café Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the café to ensure smooth workflow, excellent customer service and compliance with company standards.

Scope of Responsibilities

Daily Operations

  • Oversee day-to-day café operations to ensure smooth and efficient service
  • Ensure opening and closing procedures are properly followed
  • Ensure all company policies, SOPs and procedures are adhered to

Staff Supervision & Leadership

  • Supervise, guide and support café staff during daily operations
  • Assist in training new staff on service standards, product knowledge and SOPs
  • Prepare duty rosters and manage staff attendance when required

Customer Service

  • Ensure high standards of customer service at all times
  • Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and efficiently
  • Build positive customer relationships and encourage repeat customers

Sales & Performance Support

  • Support the achievement of daily and monthly sales targets
  • Monitor product quality and presentation

Hygiene, Safety & Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations
  • Maintain cleanliness of café, equipment, and service areas

Stock & Inventory Control

  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or wastage
  • Assist with stock receiving, storage and inventory checks

Reporting & Communication

  • Report operational issues, staff matters, and customer feedback to the Café Manager
  • Assist with daily reports and ad-hoc tasks as required by management

Cross-Station & Operational Support

  • Supervisor may be required to support different operational stations based on business needs
  • Cross-station duties will be assigned based on operational requirements and staff capability
  • Temporary support at other stations or outlets may be assigned when necessary to ensure smooth operations

Job Requirements

Start Date: Immediate

Education:

  • Minimum: Diploma

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years experience in FnB sector

Languages:

  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Melayu is required.
  • Mandarin proficiency is an advantage.

  • Humble, team-oriented, and customer-focused.
  • Sales-oriented with an ability to engage and upsell to customers.
