About the Role (Project-Based / Freelance)

We are looking for a freelance Project Lead to manage website design & build projects or web app development projects on a project-by-project basis. You will oversee each assignment from planning to delivery, working closely with our internal designers, developers, and the client. Each engagement focuses on one project at a time, with a clear scope, timeline, and deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements clearly, ask questions for clarification, and translate them into actionable tasks for designers and developers.
   
• Plan project timelines with reasonable buffers and sufficient UAT time before launch.
   
• Review all client change requests, clarify details when necessary, and ensure full understanding before briefing the team.
   
• Communicate closely with designers and developers to ensure tasks are clear, timelines are realistic, and progress is on track.
   
• Review team outputs to ensure they meet the requirements before updating the client.
   
• Manage client expectations proactively, particularly on timelines, and provide early updates if any delays or issues are identified.
   
• Lead and coordinate the entire project lifecycle for the assigned project, from kickoff to final delivery.
   
• Monitor project delivery to ensure it stays within agreed time, scope, cost, and quality.
   
• Identify issues early and propose practical solutions to keep the project moving smoothly.
   
• Highlight risks and provide options to help management make informed decisions.

Job Requirements

 Requirements (Project-Based / Freelance)

• Minimum 3 years of experience in IT, digital, or event-related project management, or client servicing — freelance experience is welcome.
   
• Strong understanding of website and web app development processes, including how designers, developers, and QA teams collaborate.
   
• Excellent communication and coordination skills, able to clearly discuss requirements with clients and convey accurate instructions to the team.
   
• Highly organised, with the ability to plan project timelines, track progress, and follow up effectively until completion.
   
• Comfortable working with fast turnaround timelines and able to stay calm and solution-focused under pressure.
   
• Fluent in English (Mandarin is an added advantage).
   
• Able to analyse client requests, identify unclear areas, and ask the right questions before briefing designers or developers.
   
• Able to work independently, manage stakeholders professionally, and ensure the project moves smoothly from start to finish.
   
• Passionate about technology, problem-solving, and managing project workflows.
