Job Description
This role is for someone who enjoys building things that people actually use. You’ll work on real features and improvements that support event organisers, audiences, and internal teams at CloudJoi.
🎯 Role Purpose
CloudJoi supports arts, culture, and live experiences through reliable, thoughtful technology. As a Software Engineer Intern, you’ll learn how production systems are built and maintained while contributing to real products used by organisers and audiences.
This role is ideal for someone who wants to:
- Learn software engineering by working on real systems

📌 Key Responsibilities
Product & Feature Development
- Assist in building and improving features across CloudJoi’s platform
- Work on frontend, backend, or full-stack tasks based on your strengths
- Fix bugs, improve performance, and support small feature enhancements
Engineering Support & Quality
- Write clean, readable, and maintainable code
- Assist with testing, debugging, and basic code reviews
- Help ensure features work reliably before release
Collaboration & Learning
- Work closely with Product, Design, Operations, and Support teams
- Learn how requirements are translated into technical solutions
- Participate in stand-ups, reviews, and team discussions
Internal Tools & Process Support
- Support internal tools that help operations, sales, or support teams
- Assist with documentation of technical processes when needed
- Learn best practices around version control, deployments, and monitoring
Job Requirements

Skills (You don’t need all of these)
- Basic programming knowledge in any modern language (eg JavaScript, Python, PHP, Java)

- Understanding of Git or version control concepts
- Willingness to learn frameworks, tools, and best practices
Experience
- Studying or recently graduated in computer science, software engineering, or related fields
- Personal projects, coursework, or GitHub repositories are a plus (not required)
