Job Description

We are looking for motivated and hands-on students or recent graduates who are passionate about diesel generators and technical fieldwork to join our team as a Junior Service Technician Intern. You will gain real-world experience in genset maintenance, troubleshooting, and customer service under the guidance of experienced technicians.

Key Responsibilities (under supervision):

• Assist in routine preventive maintenance on diesel gensets (oil change, filter replacement, coolant top-up, etc.)
• Support corrective maintenance and basic troubleshooting of engine, alternator, control panel, fuel, cooling, exhaust, and battery systems
• Help diagnose mechanical, electrical, and electronic faults using tools and diagnostic equipment
• Participate in emergency breakdown response and restoration of genset operation
• Learn to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and follow safety procedures
• Support spare parts identification, requisition, and replacement during servicing
• Coordinate with supervisors, contractors, and customers during service works
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and local authority standards

Job Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Diploma / Certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field (SPM leavers with strong interest in gensets are also welcome)
• Basic knowledge of tools, diesel engines, or electrical systems is an advantage
• Physically fit, able to perform fieldwork, lifting, and work in plant/site conditions
• Willing to learn, good attitude, safety-conscious, and able to work as part of a team
• Possess own transport (motorcycle/car) and valid driving license is preferred
• Able to commit to full-time internship
